Carole Machin
With boundless enthusiasm, quick wit and an approachable nature - Carole Machin has it all. She is currently filming the new BBC1 primetime show ‘Secret Tourist’ which will transmit this summer. Carole can be seen hosting the massive Euromillions show on BBC1 friday nights and also regularly presents the National Lottery. She could recently be seen co hosting the new consumer series for BBC3, Don't Get Screwed.
She presented The Lust List and LBD diet strands on LK Today and she filmed for the hit Channel 4 show, How to Look Good Naked, where she put products through their paces to test their worth which involved kissing an army of men and joining a throng of 100 women marching the streets in just their underwear!
Prior to this, Carole presented Entertainment News for TMF and MTV. She was in her element reporting and researching the latest gossip in the music and entertainment world, her relaxed style is perfect when interviewing music and film’s biggest stars. She feels completely at home in a live environment and is ideal for red carpet events and press junkets. She recently hosted the massive London Fashion Weekend at Natural History Museum for Channel 4 Events Be The One for EA Games in Trafalgar Square.
Carole presented Cool in Your Code a series of podcasts for the Times Online where she reveals everything that’s hot, new and undiscovered in your very own postcode. She hosts the regular Bullring TV from the shopping mecca in Birmingham, a perfect show for Carole incorporating her love of all types of fashion and trend and chatting to the public. Prior to this, she hosted MTV’s The Music Factory.
Presenting at London’s food festival Taste of London was a highlight for Carole, she was in her element interviewing, eating and causing mischief in the kitchens along with top chefs.
It is likely you’ve seen Carole’s outgoing persona through a variety of television commercials, which ranged from jumping out of bed for Nescafe and generally turning on her charm as a naughty Pringles pleasure girl...
Carole’s other programmes have included Thomas Cook Travel. She also was there to capture the reactions from the public when England won the 2012 Olympic bid.
Having gained a post-graduate diploma in Musical Theatre, Carole felt extremely comfortable joining the cast of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
Carole’s television career started as a researcher and assistant director on Hollyoaks and Grange Hill. She was approached to screen test for Channel 4’s The Machine and quickly realised that presenting was her passion.
Touring the Falkland Islands with the Military, travelling around Australia, sky-diving, rock climbing, white water rafting and many other terrifying activities, she loves a challenge and is prepared to have a go at anything!
Carole is an experienced, beautiful and energetic presenter who is a pleasure to work with.
